Care for Apparel with Embroidery, Screen Printing, DTG and Vinyl Heat Press Print Process on it

Caring for embroidered clothing isn’t too different from caring for any other clothes.

Our embroidery work is built to last and can easily be put into a washing machine and dryer.

Some general extra care suggestions for it to go that extra mile:

Washing Care: Wash with a mild detergent.

  • Do not use chlorine bleach or optical brightening agents.

  • If bleach is required for washing, use non-chlorine bleach in accordance with product instructions .

  • Machine wash cold water.

  • Delicate wash cycle.

  • Remove promptly after wash cycle completion and never leave any piece of embroidered clothing soaking or in water or lying in a pile when wet.

  • Upon completion of washing cycle place articles immediately in dryer, use normal setting. (For best results, we recommend preheating the dryer.)

  • Do not wring out the embroidered articles.

  • Do not rub stained embroidery.

Ironing: Embroidered fabrics should always be ironed on the reverse side

Screen Printing

Screen printed can last for years, since the ink becomes a part of the garment and not just imprinted on top of them.

Washing Care:

  • Wash in cold water

  • Wash and dry garment inside-out.

  • Use a mild detergent

  • Do not use bleach

  • Avoid drying your screen printed t-shirts in a dryer, as this type of drying can damage the screen printing. If absolutely needed then dry in delicate setting.  It is highly recommended to air dry the shirts to retain the imprinting.

Ironing: Screen printed garments should be ironed inside-out which helps maintain the structural integrity of the imprint.

Durability: Shirts that have been screen printed properly, they will/should last the entire lifetime of the shirt.

Washing Care:

  • Wait minimum of 24 hours before washing

  • Soaking before washing may loosen the adhesive - not immediate but possibly after 2-3 or more soaks

  • Wash and dry garment inside-out.

  • Use a mild detergent

  • Do not use bleach or fabric softener

  • Avoid drying your heat pressed garment in a dryer, as this type of drying can damage the vinyl.  Air drying is highly recommended.

Ironing: Do not iron directly on the heat transferred vinyl. Iron the garment inside out.

Durability: With good care of the garment the manufacturer recommends about 50 washes for vinyl heat transfers, which does eventually crack and fade after that

Look/Feel: Ranges per material. Some heat transfer vinyl materials offer a very soft finish that is matte or dull, while other materials are thick and glossy on the garment.

Direct-To-Garment Printing

DTG is an ideal solution for lower quantity print jobs. This printing method can print on demand and does not require a minimum quantity order like screen printing typically does. For the best quality and durability of the print, 100% cotton material is the best choice since the ink bonds to the fabric better than polyester, tri-blends, or other kinds of fabrics.

Washing Care:

  • Wash inside out with cold water with similar colors using a gentle cycle

  • Tumble dry low or hang-dry

  • Avoid using bleach and do not dry clean.

Ironing: If ironing is necessary, iron inside-out on the lowest setting

Durability: The durability of a print depends on the inks used, the quality of the machine, and whether or not it has been properly pretreated and cured and if proper wash care is taken then a DTG print should hold very well over multiple washes.
