What is a water borehole?
A water borehole is a deep narrow well driven by an electric/manual pump that taps into the underground stores of water held in permeable rock known as aquifers.
They provide a constant supply of water and can be used for drinking, showers, dishes, laundry, domestic outdoor use, etc.
Also, each borehole is used by the village AND surrounding villages/ communities benefiting around 2,000 - 5,000 people.
