HELP FUND WATER BOREHOLES FOR RURAL VILLAGES
Water is Life is a movement transforming communities through clean water. Every year millions of people die from waterborne illnesses: a solvable crisis if water free from contamination is accessible to all!
---
Our first funded water borehole will be built for a Kenyan village in need of clean safe water.

LEARN MORE ABOUT WATER IS LIFE BELOW
who will implement the boreholes?
We will be partnering with different Lions Clubs around the world. They will:
-
Identify a remote rural village that would greatly benefit
-
Hire local contractors to build the borehole
-
Organize a borehole opening day ceremony
Our first funded borehole will be implemented by:
Lions Clubs of Mombasa Bahari located in Mombasa, Kenya, East Africa
My family and I have funded and installed boreholes with them in the past. Hence why we are deciding to go with them for our first one. Hopefully this fundraiser is a success and we can branch out to other Lions Clubs.
What is a water borehole?
A water borehole is a deep narrow well driven by an electric/manual pump that taps into the underground stores of water held in permeable rock known as aquifers.
They provide a constant supply of water and can be used for drinking, showers, dishes, laundry, domestic outdoor use, etc.
Also, each borehole is used by the village AND surrounding villages/ communities benefiting around 2,000 - 5,000 people.
